Q1: 1. Are these considered night vision? 2. Does a stabilized unit come in 10x50, or 7x50?
A: I am sorry but no, these are not Night Vision. They do not make the Image stabilized binoculas in 10x50 or 7x50 yet either the 7x50 you wouldn't need IS as the magnification being lower allows you to use them hand held.
Q2: How much do the Fujinon 14x40 Techno-Stabi Binouculars weigh, including batteries? I don't see that info listed in the specs.
A: These binoculars weigh 46 oz.
Q3: I assume the 14x40 Techno-Stabi is manufactured in Japan and that rechargeable AA batteries are also recommended for use in these binoculars. Please advise.
A: Fijinon 14x40 Techno-Stabi binoculars are manufactured in Japan. They take four AA batteries, and you certainly can use rechargeables if you desire.
Q4: What batteries do these binoculars use & how long before they need to be replaced?
A: These require 4AA batteries which will last for approximately three hours of continuous use.
Q5: What kind of warranty comes with these binoculars?
A: This product comes with a one year warranty against manufacturer defects. For information on this warranty, please feel free to contact us at 1.800.246.6285.
Q6: Where can I get repair service in the San Diego California area?
A: You would need to contact Fujinon directly for that, unfortunately we do not repair these items. You can reach Fujinon directly at (800) 833-0196.
Q7: You previously advised me that rechargeable AA batteries are ok to use in 14x40s. I note in the Operations Manual a reference to NiCad batteries. Are NiMH also ok to use? I have not tried them yet as I am still using the standard Toshiba batteries supplied
A: We know of no reason you can't use NiMH rechargeables in the 14x40 Techno-Stabi. They're better, last longer and can handle more recharges.
