The Leupold® Gold Ring® 20-60x80mm Spotting Scope delivers a high magnification, incredibly bright, high resolution image across a wide field of view, all with best in class eye relief for easy, full field viewing with or without eyeglasses. The prism-less Folded Light Path (FLP) system uses mirrors to compress a long optical system into half its length. The magnesium housing make this high powered optic lightweight and extra rugged. Comes with an Impact Reticle to provide an MOA scale in the front focal plane for fast and accurate shot calling and trophy measurement on any magnification.
The Impact Reticle gives the Gold Ring Spotting Scope a scale so you can quickly measure where a bullet hits in relation to the target and give accurate feedback to the shooter. The main grid is in MOA and is in the front focal plane so is accurate at all magnifications. Along the top and left side of the pattern are circles spaced at 1 milliradian to support mil ranging. The pattern is well below the center of the field to ensure a clear view when glassing or wildlife viewing. Simply turn the magnification down a little to show the entire pattern.
Front Focal Plane (FFP)
The reticle magnifies along with the image, so you can estimate range at all magnification settings. These reticles are ideal in tactical situations, yet also provide greater accuracy of range estimation for hunters and target shooters.

It goes a step further than even the Index Matched Lens System®, using Leupold’s® index matched glass with wavelength specific lens coatings designed to optimize the transmission of low-light wavelengths. When most scope manufacturers quote percentage of light transmission, they usually mean at 550 nm, the green wavelength where the human eye is most sensitive. The challenge is that in twilight conditions, green light disappears and blue/violet light takes over. Your eye is already handicapped when it comes to seeing the blue/violet spectrum, and if your scope is cutting too much of it out, soon you won’t be seeing anything. The Xtended Twilight Lens System places extra emphasis on matching coatings to glass indices to achieve the best possible transmission of the blue/violet spectrum, without sacrificing the color balanced light transmission across the visual spectrum of the Index Matched Lens System. When we combine that with superior computer-generated optical design, lead-free lenses of unsurpassed clarity and quality, and 100 years of manufacturing excellence, you have a scope that gives you the details of low-light scenes in greater definition and luminance than any other scope in the world.
