Nikon 8x42 Monarch 7 Binoculars offer all of the amazing attributes of the Nikon Monarch 5 series, plus an upgrade to ED prism glass as well as an increased field of view when comparing similar models.
Nikon Monarch Binoculars are legendary for their true color, high contrast views, their rugged yet beautiful waterproof and fogproof housing, and their tried and true Nikon No-Fault Limited Lifetime Warranty. With a magnification of 8x and a lens diameter of 42mm, these Monarch 7 Binoculars are the perfect choice for general use, birding, wildlife observations, or travel. Why? Because an 8x42 binocular, especially when combined with Nikon’s famous ED glass and heavy-duty quality build, offers enough light-gathering to illuminate objects in shadow or during dusk or dawn, and at a magnification that is easy to hand-hold for longer periods of time. Add waterproof and fogproof performance, a wide 8 degree field of view, and the ability to focus as close as 8.2 feet to the mix, and you can see why the Nikon 8x42 Monarch 7’s can enhance your enjoyment of life in just about any situation.
Nikon’s ED lenses and prisms equal amazing clarity and color reproduction
The quality of your view through any optical instrument will always come down to the caliber of the optics. The Nikon 8x42 Monarch 7 Binoculars are made with high quality Nikon Extra Low Dispersion (ED) glass to correct for annoying color fringing and chromatic aberrations across the visible light range. The result is beautiful, natural color images that have superb contrast and resolution. The exceptional optical performance of Nikon Monarch 7 binoculars will make observations of all kinds more rewarding, and that’s what good binoculars are all about!
Advanced phase-correction-coated prisms
Nikon 8x42 Monarch 7 binoculars use top of the line proprietary lens and prism coatings to push resolution and brightness to the max. Nikon’s Dielectric Multilayer Prism Coatings increase light transmission across the entire visible light spectrum, producing clear, high contrast, bright images in living color. In fact, these special coatings pump up the brightness close to that seen by the naked eye, and that is amazingly good. You will love the clarify, and the color rendition, of Nikon Monarch 7 binoculars!
Easy to use, easy to adjust to your unique vision
Not all of us have 20/20 vision, and Nikon took that fact into account when they designed the 8x42 Monarch 7 binoculars. The comfortable and innovative “turn and slide” rubber eye cups allow the user to adjust the eye relief to provide a clear field of view for everyone, even eyeglass wearers. Adjust the eye cups until you can comfortably see the full field of view. This is a fast and easy process, and so even if you share your binoculars with others, changes can be made for each person in just a few seconds.
Dioptric adjustment is easily achieved by turning the knurled ring right below the right eyepiece until it lines up with the correct dioptric number on the index. The central focus knob is also easy to use and is placed in an intuitive position, allowing for natural hand movements to adjust focus “on the fly.”
Take your Nikon Monarch 7 binoculars just about anywhere
Don’t be afraid to take your 8x42 Monarch 7 binoculars to the beach, on a white-water rafting trip, or into the deepest, darkest (and dampest!) jungle. All Monarch 7 binoculars are nitrogen-purged and O-ring sealed for waterproof and fogproof performance. That means if you get caught in the rain, you won’t be throwing your binoculars in the trash or sending them off for an expensive cleaning. Just wipe them off before adjusting any moveable parts and you’re good to go.
Waterproofing does more than just keep water on the outside where it belongs. The process also keeps your lenses from fogging up in high humidity, or worse, growing fungus internally-an event that has caused the death of a multitude of binoculars and camera lenses.
The Monarch 7 binocular body is sleek and rugged. A quality rubber coating is applied over the lightweight metal frame, making the binocular easy to grip and hard to drop. Ergonomic curves guide your hands into their proper position for optimum viewing, allowing you to naturally find the focus knob. Rubber lens caps are attached to the binoculars just below the optics so they are super easy to slip on or off. Attached lens caps also mean you won’t lose them!
The rubber coating on the Monarch’s also help to protect them from dings and bumps that are a natural result of everyday use. However, should you damage your 8x42 Monarch 7 binoculars, you can turn to Nikon and their No-Fault Limited Lifetime Warranty. Its nice to know that Nikon stands behind their binoculars with this level of customer service.
